That's what I do.

I'm a developmental editor and manuscript strategist specializing in cozy mystery, psychological thriller, domestic suspense, women’s fiction, and upmarket fiction. My background is in creative writing; I have a BFA, years of ghostwriting experience, and focused training in developmental editing. I've also spent a lifetime reading obsessively in these genres, which means I bring something to this work that training alone can't give you: I know what these stories feel like when they're working, and when they’re not quite there yet.

When I’m not editing for Illuminate, I’m spending time with my family, continuing to read obsessively, or writing. I’m currently working on my own first series, so I understand how hard you’ve worked so far. And I understand how hard it is to hand your manuscript off to a stranger.
