I'm a developmental editor and manuscript strategist specializing in cozy mystery, psychological thriller, domestic suspense, women’s fiction, and upmarket fiction. My background is in creative writing; I have:

• a BFA in writing

• published work in various literary magazines

• years of editing and ghostwriting experience

• focused training in developmental editing

I've also spent a lifetime reading obsessively in these genres, which means I bring something that training alone can't give you: I know what these stories feel like when they're working, and when they’re not quite there yet.

When I’m not editing for Illuminate, I’m spending time with my family, continuing to read obsessively, or writing. I’m currently working on my own first series, so I understand how hard you’ve worked so far. And I understand how hard it is to hand your manuscript off to a stranger.
